The Process

  • Print and fill out the provided shipping form and place in the box that is being shipped to us. This will let us know who is sending these NVGs and how you would like them returned. Without providing this, delays in shipping should be expected.

  • Arrange shipment. We recommend UPS or Fedex for getting the boxes to us. This portion of the shipment is your responsibility, we do not provide shipping for delivery to our facility. We encourage you to insure the package due to its high value. Some of our customers also provide a return label for the box. This is a great option as sometimes shipping companies will provide larger discounts to law enforcement or government entities which could save your unit a few bucks. Otherwise the return shipment will be on our account and added to the invoice.

  • Once the NVGs are received, the paperwork will start and the inspection will follow. Work is completed within 2 business days provided nothing is broken or failed. We will contact you should there be a need for additional work. The NVGs will be boxed back up and you will be provided with a tracking number. This will be a UPS Ground shipment unless otherwise requested on the shipping paperwork.

  • The box will be shipped to the address provided. Within 24 hours after delivery, a digital copy of the Test Data Sheet and Certificate will be uploaded to the server which you can access at any time to retrieve a copy should you need it.

At this point, you are good to go with a pair of certified NVGs and we will see you again for your next inspection

FAQ

  • No need to worry, the inspection is the same. There’s no added fees or anything like that for an NVG that has been out of the certification date. Just send them to us and we will get the adjustments and paperwork taken care of on our end.

  • As careful as pilots are with NVGs, sometimes things can happen. If you had a set take a fall, or we notice something that has failed during the inspection process, we will reach out to the point of contact listed on the shipping form with how you would like to proceed. Often times many components can be fixed without a huge cost but then some items such as the tubes can be fairly expensive. We understand that sometimes departments may need to wait on funding, and if that’s the case the item can be red tagged and returned and we can revisit the repair at a later date. Otherwise you will be provided with a quote to repair and once approved we will start the process. Please note with things like tube replacements, we are at the mercy of the manufacturer so it can take several weeks in some cases.

  • We know speed is an important factor when sending in NVGs. Typically the time line is once the box arrives here we open it immediately and get the paperwork started. Once the paperwork is done, the inspections start. As long as there’s nothing wrong with the NVG the process takes about an hour per goggle, then we do some more paperwork and box it up and set it on the shelf for Fedex and UPS. So after it arrives, you’ll have a tracking number typically same day or next business day if we are busy. The majority of the time is spent with the shipping company, so we typically suggest if you are in a rush, use overnight in both getting it here and leaving here. Otherwise the default will be FedEx ground as its most economical.

So for a quick answer, we typically say within 48 Hours it will be back on its way to you.

  • This is a common issue and you need not worry. Whoever is the point of contact will be issued a link. This link will take you to your personal space on our server where you can retrieve your Certificates and Test Data Sheets. So as long as its within the 180 day window of the inspection date, everything is fine and backed up and you don’t even need to make a call.
