201 American Concourse Suite 110 Fort Worth TX 76106

Deep in the Heart of Texas and only minutes away from the historic Fort Worth’s stockyards, Helicopter Institute is located at the beautifully designed Meacham International Airport’s Terminal building on the ground floor directly to your right as you enter the building. You’ll walk underneath the artist Kipp Kobayashi’s modern yet whimsical approach to the evolution of aviation through the use of natural birdlike shapes with an implied transformation to modern hand folded designs. “Collective Transitions” features a cascade of paper airplanes and birds dancing in a mixture of daylight, purple lights, and shadows throughout the day. The breeze throughout the building causes the installation to sway gently emphasizing sociability of public environments with how they effect us and in turn we effect them. You can follow their flight path directly to our front door and start your journey with Helicopter Institute.
